The Home Depot April DIY Workshop- Save the Date

This week is full of big news!  In addition to working on a human, Nate and I are also partnering with The Home Depot for 2015.  We will be working with The Home Depot to host four DIY Workshops during the year.  The planned projects are quite fun.  (Surprisingly this is not an April Fools' Day joke.  I'm just as shocked as you are.  Does anyone else have trust issues on April 1st?)

Save the Date!

Who: You! Your friends! Your family! Your co-workers!  Everyone you know!

What: Learn how to build a Vertical Planter at The Home Depot Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Workshop. (It's free!)

When: Saturday, April 11th from 10:00-11:30am.

Where: The Home Depot nearest you!  I will be hosting at the Bettendorf, IA location (920 Middle Road).

Our first project of the year is a vertical planter.  Nate and I started building our vertical planter this weekend and we're pumped about it.  We can't have fences in our neighborhood so ours is going to be more of a living plant wall on our patio.  What I'm loving about this project is that it is surprisingly simple and you only need a few easy-to-operate power tools!  I'm going to town on building those crates!

New to the DIY Workshops?  The Home Depot offers free workshops for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels. These DIY Workshops are great for anyone who wants to learn how to take on more of their home projects and upgrades.  The workshops cover topics ranging from how to tile surfaces to gardening and deck staining.  Just to name a few!  The nice thing about these workshops is that there is plenty of time for questions!  Did I mention they are free?

I'll be attending at the Bettendorf, Iowa location and I'd love to have you join me!  If you're not in Iowa, you could move here in the next week.  Iowa Summers are quite lovely. (That's a lie.) Or you could attend your local workshop.  That would be awesome too!  All you need to do is register!

Who's interested in learning to build a vertical planter?  Anyone itching to hit up the garden center?  This warmer weather has been thinking about planting so many things!
