*Today's post is brought to you by The Home Depot*
Our front door is having an identity crisis. There are pumpkins on the steps and this darling Christmas wreath trio on the front door.
It's just so pretty that I can't take it down! Our front steps will just have to celebrate fall-mas for the next two weeks. We will then have our yearly punkin chunkin contest where we chuck those pumpkins down our hillside. This year we we had our very own pumpkin patch from this nonsense. Kind of awesome because you know they wouldn't grow if I planted them.
Where was I?
Oh, yes. I made this wreath trio for Saturday's DIY Workshop at the Home Depot. It was fun to work on a project that didn't involve changing diapers. I'll be sharing my tips and tricks at the Bettendorf store. Come join me to kick off the holiday decorating season!
Today I'll share with you how I constructed my wreath trio. I also have quite a few buddies joining me. Be sure to check out their projects at the end of this post for even more trio inspiration!
Step 1: Lay the three wreaths in a line face down onto your work space. The 32" wreath will be in the middle.
Step 2: Join the wreaths using the hobby wire.
Step 3: Attach the metal bow to the 32" wreath in the center using the hobby wire.
Step 4: Cut ribbon to desired length to resemble a package. I secured the ribbon by tying it onto the back of the wreath. You will need two ribbons run vertically and one horizontally.
Step 5: Decorate the 24" wreaths with ornaments. I attached the ornaments by twisting the ornament hooks around the wreath branches.
Step 6: Hang the wreath trio on your door using a metal wreath hanger. The bow makes this trio heavy so you will need a wreath hanger that can support the weight.
Step 7: Start singing Christmas carols, sip some hot chocolate, step back and admire your handy work.
