Cranberry Sangria
/I recently conducted a high tech research experiment on Decor and the Dog readers. I have concluded that you all like booze and sugar posts. And sometimes DIY stuff. Because I am a people pleaser, today's post is about sugary booze. Wait, a DIY sugary booze drink. Bam. Crowd goes wild.
My brother and his girlfriend helped us paint last weekend. (I'll share photos on Monday. Pinky swear.) They also brought me wine from a winery back home along with a new sangria recipe.
Sangria is my jam. The recipe they whipped up was quite tasty so I thought I'd share. (I'm sure my brother's girlfriend is questioning many things about me. "Nice to meet you. Welcome to my home. Grab a paint brush. Ignore me standing on a chair to photograph booze. As you do.")
Cranberrry Sangria
- 1 bottle cranberry wine
- 12 oz. Welch's cranberry-raspberry concentrate
- 3/4 c. orange juice
- 1/3 c. unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1/2 orange, sliced
- 1/2 lemon, sliced
- 1 liter 7Up
Add first six ingredients to a large pitcher. Stir. Refrigerate 2-4 hours. Add 7Up right before serving.
I got to use the sangria glasses I received as a Christmas gift from my parents. My living room was painted. Winning all around.
Also, don't get all technical with me on the definition of Sangria. My definition is wine + juice + fruit. Make yours as you please. *steps off soap box*
Big weekend plans? We are continuing on with the living room adventure. We're also going to try and sneak in some fun and a hopefully a little relaxation. Happy weekend!
